What We Do?
Monthly, the GGB team goes out in the community on Saturday mornings to feed the homeless community around the peachtree & pine street community. We are breaking down the fear and resistance barriers to be able to connect with our people. We also firmly believe that we are building a base of trust among the men and women we serve on the streets. We don’t judge or criticize the reality of the less fortunate – we just feed, cloth, inform & inspire them. We are particularly proud of the fact that 100% of all donations collected to date have been spent on the costs of food and clothing for our people and since Feb 22nd 2014, we have fed over 2,000 men, women & children.
GGB is also excited to be inspiring the lives of our youth through our mentorship program for teen girls ages 13-20 and influencing each and every girl throughout the year as well as during the GGB "I AM BEAUTIFUL" Summer Camp.

Jasma Smith, Co-Founder and Owner of Girls Giving Back Inc., and native of Talladega, Alabama. Jasma graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor degree in Social Work and a Masters degree in Business Administration from Shorter University. Currently, Jasma is pursing her doctoral degree at Capella University in Health Administration with a concentration in Advocacy and Public Policy.
Jasma has a heart for helping the community and seeing people do well with a “little motivation”. Jasma has a lot of professional experience from working with families in the child welfare system and the military arena. Jasma is also highly trained and discipline by the Armed Forced Air National Guard where she has completed enormous hours of training in administration and helping to complete successful flight missions around the world. Through her compassionate work, dedication, and timeless efforts, she has been able to help thousands of individuals throughout the world while fulfilling her purpose. In addition, Jasma is able to continue this work with Girls Giving Back on a daily basis.
Chanell Davis, Co-Founder of Girls Giving Back hails from the small city of Orangeburg, SC. As a young adult, she developed an interest in entertainment events and community causes. After graduating from Claflin University with a B.A. in Communications, she relocated to Atlanta, GA to pursue a master's degree in Public Relations. Once she arrived to Atlanta, her destiny changed after she began to volunteer with STEPS and EBO Events. Her strong willingness to learn and train with the best equipped her to branch off and start her own company in June of 2006. She is now The CEO of DREAMS EVENT PLANNING, LLC with over 300 events under her belt. From the early years of her career and presently, she has planned countless charity fund-raisers with local non-profit organizations in Atlanta. To date, the most rewarding and gratifying events is when she uses her gifts and resources to Feed the Homeless, produce back to school supply drives for low-income families, give turkey boxes to Grandparents Raising Grandchildren and raise toys for children in foster homes.
During these experiences, she continued to cultivate her love for helping those in need. God's calling on her life was evident and later led to the development of Girls Giving Back under the leading vision of our Owner Jasma Smith. Equipped with hearts of gold, we began serving the Atlanta community in Feb 2014. Trusting God's timing and will, Chanell is thankful to be a proud servant to her community, a positive role model to young girls, creating an impressive imprint in today's society and most importanly leaving an everlasting impact with those in need.
Chief Financial Officer/Board Member
Justine McLaurin, Chief Financial Officer of Girls Giving Back Inc. and Accounting Manager is a native of San Diego, California. Justine graduated from Glenville State College with Cum Laude Honors, 4.0 Accounting GPA and honored as a Distinguished Business Student. Justine’s professional competence is grounded in strong academic preparation, as well as 15 years of professional work experience. Her professional background consists of Accounting Manager, Office Manager, Insurance Marketing Recruiter, and Patient Accounts Specialist.
Justine’s versatile background enables her to utilize and provide creativity and innovative business concepts. Justine’s excellent personality and strong interpersonal skills gives her the cutting edge ability to excel with all levels of the organization. Justine is extremely disciplined and passionate, practices professional integrity, and follows through on all commitments regardless of the challenge at hand.
